Going South
Heeyong Yoo (Musiker, Komponist, Künstler) von der Jeju Insel, Südkorea, hat während zwei Monaten im Kurt-Kurt in Berlin-Moabit gelebt und gearbeitet. Als Gast in Berlin hat er seinen Blick sowohl auf das Neue und Andere gerichtet, hat sich aber auch aus der Ferne mit Bildern und Tönen seiner Heimat beschäftigt. Nun präsentiert er im Kurt-Kurt zum Abschluss seiner Gastzeit drei Arbeiten, die uns Bekanntes in der Ferne und Fremdes zu Hause erleben lassen.
Gezeigt werden ‚Going South‘, eine Video-Sound-Arbeit, das von der Landschaft der Jeju Insel inspiriert ist, und ein Film, der die live Performance seines Indie pop/folk Projekts ‚5 Days Mark Project‘ dokumentiert.
Als Preview wird sein neuester, gerade fertig gestellter Soundtrack, den er für den Film ‚PH Express‘ von Ayung Kim komponiert hat, in Bild und Ton vorgestellt.
Going South
After two months of work as a guest in Kurt-Kurt in Berlin-Moabit, Heejong Yoo (Music Producer) from Jeju Island, South Korea, is presenting three sound and video works. As a guest his view was focusing the new as well as the things far home. As a final statement of his guest residency he invites us to expierience known things from far away and strange moments at home.
He will present ‚Going South‘ (video/sound work) which was inspired by the landscape of Jeju Island
together with a film of a live perfomance of his Indie pop/folk project ‚5 Days Mark Project‘.
Also he will present the newest sound track he composed fort he movie ‚PH Express‘, directed by Ayung Kim.
